For my daughter's 4th birthday we shared with a friend. Our theme was "Pink Princess Pizza Party". We invited both princesses & princes, as well as Kings &
Queens. We had about 25 kids!
For our invitations we found adorable pink polka dotted invtiations with a fairy princess on them which we printed on our printer. Our invitations started out with: Games, Crowns & Castles too, Nothing short of a royal celebration will do! We addressed them for example, Princess Gracie of the _____ (last name) Castle. Everyone rsvp using their title of prince or princess, it was a hoot! For food, we of course had pizza and tried to make the rest of the food pink since it was a pink party! We made homemade rice krispy treats using pink food coloring, pink cupcakes with pink princess rings on top (ordered from cakesnthings online), pink strawberry cookies & wafers (grocery store), pink sugar cookies shaped like slippers (accented with pastel m&ms), some shaped like crowns (used pastel m&ms to make the jewels on the crowns).(cookie cutters from online cakesnthings). I bought the disposable champayne cups from the $ store and glued rhinestones on the outer part and put pink jello in these, topped with cool whip & sprinkled with pink sugar (sprinkles)...The kids really loved these & they loved great on the table. We had a baker make two adorable cakes--round with a princess that matched invitations...one had brown hair and one blonde for each child. This was our centerpieces for the table in which we had a pink gingham cloth on and also a vase of pink roses. We used the drink boxes for drinks & printed big mailing labels for them with a princess on them which said "Pink Pixie Punch" For plates, we bought pink ones & glued rhinestones around the edges, each spoon also had a rhinestone for accent. We also served icecream cups. For decorations, we used pink & white tulle throughout and also adorable pink wands (dollar store). The deck was adorned with white tulle (cloth store) and all of the kids tables had miscellaneous pink fabric cut with pinking sheers to cover. We set the tables up under a canopy and decoarted it and the back yard with tulle & hot pink, light pink & white balloons. As guests arrived, they walked onto a red carpet in which we rented from a uniform company. There was a table set up outside (we had most of the party outside since the weather was beautiful). The table had a tiara for each girl (oriental trading) and a satin crown (shermansparty) for each boy in which they took home. These really added to the party and made cute pictures! For activites we borrowed a friends jumparound and also had a castle shaped tent (lillianvernon). We played "pin the crown on the frog" game in which I made crowns from construciton paper and glued glitter & laminated. The frog was made from a school projector. We also had a "treasure dig". We used a sandbox and buried rhinestone rings, fake gold coins, gems, etc (oriental trading) and the kids used a strainer to dig for them. They had lots of fun with this! We also had a craft table. The girls made a princess hat shaped foam picture frame & the boys made a prince one (oriental trading). There were also sand art with plastic castles (otrading). I also printed out some coloring pages off the web of castles, princesses, princes, frogs, etc which they colored. One of the highlights of the party was we had someone dress up like a princess and come to the party. She was of course in pink complete with fairy dust, wand & crown. All the kids had a picture taken with her in which we included in the thank you notes. For the treat bags, we bought pink (and blue for the princes) tumblers and glued rhinestones which they used to hold all of their treasures from the dig. We also gave out homemade chocolate suckers we made in the shape of a princess (pink) and tied pink gingham ribbon around. These were displayed in a basket with styrofoam (looked like a flower arrangement) Also, we made chocolate castle shapes & crowns (molds at cakesnthings) in which we put in a clear lollipop bag and printed labels with a fairy princess & said thank you for coming to the party (plus they had their tiara or crown to take with them) As the party died down, the girls took out my daughters dress up clothes and they had a ball dressing up. My daughter absolutely loved this party and says she wants another one just like it next year!! Everyone said they had a great time (even the boys!!) We had other ideas but this was about all we had time to do!!
