Pretty Pretty Princess Party- 7yr. My little sister was turning 7, so I decided to give her a princess party. She loves playing dress up, and so do most of her friends. The first thing I did to prepare for the party was find out what kind of things she wanted at the party. After getting a list of her favorite things, I began making a guest list. We decided 7 girls (not including the birthday girl) would be plenty for a fun-filled party. Each girl was sent an invitation stating "You are Cordially invited to the Social Event of the Season honoring Miss Rebekah Lee. As she approaches her eigth year, we ask that you grace us with your presence." We printed this out on a simple sheet of pink paper, but made it look elegant with a scrolling font. We decided to make it easier on the moms by dressing the girls once they arrived at the party. We had to find enough dresses for all the little girls,so we began searching at Garage sales, second-hand stores, and we even asked my Grandmother for her old dresses. Weren't we amazed when she pulled out a whole trunk full of dresses perfect for the party. Since we had the dresses covered, we then proceeded to figure what to use for makeup. Along with some old make-up of mine and my Mom's, we got some samples from my Mary-Kay lady.   We sent the invitations 2 weeks in advance, and called everyone a week before the party. Soon the day we'd been anticipating had arrived. We'd decorated in pink and white, a very soft but elegant color combination. We started the party at five o'clock. My Mom and I hung white twinkle lights around the patio, used pink tablecloths, and played soft Irish music with flutes and other pipes. My little sister is pretty mature for her age, but we didn't want this party to seem more fit for an adult. We planned games that went along with theme. As each girl arrived, we dressed them up and fixed their hair and make-up. They all loved being pampered. Aftr each girl was made-over, we made a big presentation to the other girls waiting their turn. Everyone oohed and ahhed at each transformation.  After each girl had been made inbto a beautiful Princess, we led them out to the patio. My brother had lit small candles so they added a soft glow along with the twinkle lights. All the girls felt so grown up. After a dinner of chicken alfredo pasta and a light salad, we had the cake. The cake was iced in pink frosting, and had little white roses all over it. My little sister opened presents after dinner and cake.  Soon we had a special suprise for the girls. We had brought out our big screen T.V. outside and set up chairs in a semi-cicle around the side of the house. We then brought each girl to their seat and they all watched "My fair Lady" starring Audrey Hepburn. They loved it! They had never watched a movie outdoors, and when the movie was over the pretended like they had english accents just like Audrey.  All to soon the party had ended and the girl's mothers began to arrive. They all recieved a little pink box with a fuzzy feather pen, lip gloss, a small compact mirror, and a pair of white gloves. They all had a blast and my little sister came home from school the other day and told me that everyone couldn't stop talking about the party! I think they had they time of their lives. Good luck with your party!
