Party Supplies

My daughter Sydney was turning 5 and she wanted a princess party.  We had preschool children to invite so we had boys and girls. We decided to do a prince and princess party.  First I sent out invitations on scroll paper.  I rolled them up and put a gold ribbon on them. Each invitation had the kids names on them.  (Ex. Prince Alex) The invitations read, Hear ye, Hear ye, Calling all Prince and Princess of the Kingdom to a Royal Celebration! By order of the King and Queen, You are cordially invited to the Cosgrove Castle to celebrate Princess Sydney's 5th birthday. The royal celebration will begin Saturday at 1:00 in the afternoon on the 6th of September.  The King has asked for each lady to come in her favorite princess costume, and the gentlemen are asked to come in their regal finest, fit for a prince.  Upon your carriages arrival, Princess will be greeted with royal wands and tiaras. Each prince will be knighted and shall receive a sword and crown as symbols of bravery. The royal cook has prepared a feast of pizza and desserts for the celebration, including cake and ice cream.  There shall also be games, crafts and fun for all.  Weather permitting there will be a giant inflatable castle bounce and a 18' inflatable slide for the royal gala. Then the excitement will heighten during the defeat of the dreaded pinata dragon.  Carriages will depart at 4:00 in the after noon form "your address" when the celebration concludes. Please RSVP with the Queen Mom at "phone number" if you plan to attend this royal gala.  The castle needs to plan for your arrival.  This is to be a magical celebration not to be missed!  Then I hand delivered the invitations into the children's mail boxes.  Some had to be mailed out in mailing tubes. We had 45 kids who all got tiara's from the party store online and wands from the dollar tree store. The boys were given crowns form the party store and bubble swords from the dollar tree store. I cleaned out one room in my house and put up gold metalic curtains on all the doors and put a material on the wall.  On this I put a 4' paper castle that I got from a party store. Then I spray painted a chair gold glues gems on it and put royal purple material on the seat. I put material on the floor coming up to the chair as my red carpet. Then as the kids arrived into the house my husband dressing up in a king cape and crown, and I wore a queen's dress. (both halloween costumes from the party store) The kids came into the house and we gave them tiaras and wands or crown and swords. Each child sat in our "thrown" and we took their picture on my digital camera to be used as our thank you's. Our thank you's where printed on labels on one side was the picture and on the other side read "Thank you for coming to our enchanted kingdom to celebrate princess Sydney's 5th birthday.  We had a royal good time because you were there.  Your gift was a grand addition to my royal collection.  Thank You Princess Sydney"  I got treasure boxes from the craft store and spray painted them gold and glitter and I glued jewels on them.  I used them as balloon weights by putting gold rolo candy and silver hersey kisses in them.  I also bought gold star weights and used them as well.  I purchased all my party plates and supplies from birthday express.com. I got the princess and knight supplies from there. I got the gift castle boxes and put bubbles, crowm pens (oriental trading), gold coins filled with chocolate and gum. I also put giant jewel rings and stickers in there. I set up 5 stations in my back yard.  I had an inflatable slide, a giant jump bounce (that I had rented from bounce around.com) a tattoo table (dinasour and princess tattoos) a table for making jewery out of beads and a castle bean toss. I used a refrigerator box and spray painted it gold and cut out windows and put jewels around them and my friend sewed gold crown bean throws to use to throw through the holes. My cake was from giant eagle and had cinderella, a castle, a carriage with horses and a dragon on it. With 90 people coming to my yard we had to have a time table for all the activities.  Things went smooth and everyone had fun.  The parents are still talking about it. There was alot of planning involved and alot of friends helped me.  I am telling everyone who asked me about this site.  I got alot of good ideas from other people on this site.  I hope my party gives other people ideas as well.
