We had a princess party for my daughters 4th birthday. I purchased the princess invitations at our local Wal-mart, along with the Disney Princess tableware and decorations. On the ivitation, I asked each invited princess to wear their favorite princess costume ( I knew that each one of the girls we were inviting already had their own). I used the princess decorations along with streamers and balloons, everything being pink and purple.  My daughter had posters of the princesses in her room, which I moved into the party room. I hung balloons from the ceiling along with curly ribbon to make it look "magical." I wrapped the birthday girl's chair in shiny metallic pink wirey ribbon along with balloons. Once all of the girls had arrived we played "Pin the princess on the castle." (I found castle clip art online and printed it poster size. Then I scanned a picture of each one of the Disney Princesses onto cardstock.) Then we played "Wishing Well" I filled a bucket with water and gave each of the girls 3 pennies. Whoever got the most pennies in won the game and got a prize.  They liked this game and played it several times. The prizes were ring pops and candy lipstick. I made sure that each girl won atleast once. The last game was "Search for the Princess Jewels."  I had a box that looked just like a small treasure box (it originally came with chocolates in it.) I hid this in the back yard filled with a toy necklace and bracelet for each girl. I gave the girls clues of where to search. They went from tree to tree finding pink notes from the "queen", telling them where to find the princess treasure. Once they found it they were amazed to see that each one of them got to receive a part of the treasure.  They loved this game and wanted me to keep hiding the treasure box.  We came inside for cake and icecream. I had found a castle cake online and made it.  It was in pink frosting and used sugar cones as turrets.  Everyone was amazed at how pretty it was, and I am no expert. The recipe can be found at disney online, family fun.  We had pink (strawberry) ice cream, of course. I also had made cookies with pastel m&m's (which are sold in the spring of each year), and pink punch.  After the presents were opened we had a special guest ring the doorbell.  I had all the girls gather round to open the door, and it was Cinderella!!  And she had gifts!! (One gift was for the birthday girl, a pink Cinderella tea set.  The other gifts were the other girls goody bags.) We had a friend dress in a blue gown (a previous bride's maid gown) with long white gloves and her blonde hair was worn up, of course, and had a blue ribbon, just like Cinderella's. She even owned a pair of clear plastic heels, which looked just like glass slippers!  The girl's mouths dropped when Cinderella walked in. There was a hush that fell in the room, like royalty was there. She sat down and had all the girls gather round her.  She gave each of the girls their gifts. After the gifts were opened she presented the birthday girl with a book, "Cinderella", of course. She read the book to the girls and then sang "Some Day My Prince Will Come."  She stayed a little while, had tea (with the Cinderella tea set) with them and then had to be whisked off to go to the ball.  She was definately the hit of the party.  For the goody bags, I found that Disney.com has printable princess activities of which I made several copies.  They have a Belle bookmark which I made on cardstock to put in each one of the princess goody bags. They also offer princess coloring pages, which I made several copies of each on cardstock so each girl at the party would have her own princess coloring book to take home.  For the front cover of the coloring book I found castle clip art and printed each girls name, so that it read, "Princess -------'s Coloring Book". I also put in candy necklaces, glitter pencils and stickers. The girls loved getting their goody bags from Cinderella herself. When the girls left, they were asking their moms which princess could come to their party.  It was a wonderful party which will be remembered by all.
