Princess and Prince party. My daughter was turning 5 years old and always loved playing the part of a princess. I wanted to have a reasonably priced but fun party for her. So first i searched for ideas from family and friends for creative ideas. Invitations: I found the picture of a castle on the web and Printed on top of the invitation: Enchanted Kingdom. Below that i typed.. Hear YE Hear Ye all princes and princeses of the land are invited to the Royal Birthday part of princess ( insert childs name)i then put Palace: ( insert place) Time: ( insert time) Date: ( insert date) i printed them off my computer in color but i think black and white would have looked nice too. They were printed on parchment paper. I then rolled them up like a scroll and tied them with a gauzy type material. at the bottom of the invitation i typed all the information about the food. i stated that a royal bnaquet of pizza and drinks would be provided.  Thank you notes: i pre printed them in black and white with the castle on the front stating: Thank you for attending my royal birthday party. I then took a picture of each child handing the present to my child and pasted it inside the thank you note, they were now ready to give to the parents as they left.  Goodie bag: i bought a silky royal blue material for 1$ a yard. I then sewed them into small bags that were tied with gold ribbon. inside the bags i put candy that was pre wrapped in gold foil ( almond kisses, choclolate coins, rolos etc.) so as they left they got a bag of gold. I ordered paper gold crowns and stickers for each child to work on. i also ordered blow up swords and wands. ( these were ordered from novelty stores. i.e. oriental trading, rhode island novelty etc.)  Decorations: I ordered gold plates, cups and silverware from an online auction and got them for a great price! so the princes and preinces ate off gold plates, the table cloths were gold and pink. The cake was a princess barbie cake and said Happy birthday princess ( insert childs name). gold and  pink balloons were placed throught the room.  I also had a blow up castle for the kids to play in. This was my castle but i belive in larger cities you can rent them. I also had a large picture of cinderella and a cut out of a crown.  they played pin the crown on the princess.  All the children were refered to as prince or princess and thier name during the whole party. Many of them signed thier cards to princess.... from prince.... while she was opening gifts she sat in a chair and all the others sat in the floor surrounding her so she was on a throne. Our big gift to her was a princess big girl bike! she loved that! she also got a tiera. Many of her gifts were in the princess theme too. My daughter had the best birthday ever. all the children loved leaving with a bag of gold, a crown, and a sword or wand depnding on th sex of the child. and best of all after the clean up all the thank younotes were already given out so thier was no more work to be done!!!!!
