Princess Birthday Party I had a Princess Birthday Party for my turning 7 year old.  We had 10 girls, including her 3 year old sister & the birthday girl.  We made invitations on the computer using a card maker CD, & had a fairytale princess on the outside. It said--"Hear Ye-Hear Ye" Princess(I put the invitees name after princess) you are invited to a Princess Birthday Party ! Each girl thought it was so cool to be called Princess & have her name on the invitation. Inside we told them to wear a pretty princess dress & have their carriage drop them at our castle.    Ahead of time I prepared all the favors : A star wand, I used 2 shades of pink fun foam, used a cookie cutter to make an indentation of a star to cut out,I cool melt glued them together with a 12 inch dowel stick for the handle. I used the glue gun to put a bead of glue around the outside of the star on each side( alittle at a time) & sprinkled it with glitter that had little stars in it, I then tied 3 lengths of very narrow ribbon on the top of the stick just below the star, in a white, & 2 shades of pink.   Another favor : I purchased small (3-4") plastic-"glass"-slippers in the bridal department at Hobby Lobby-ususally .25 cents each, on sale for a 1/3 off. At Michael's I got some rectangle gems-$2.00 for a box, & glued them on like where a bow would be, then I used some tacky glue & a toothpick & in sections I would glue & then sprinkle glitter, so when I was done they were covered in glitter.  I bought some heavy pink tagboard & used a burgerking crown as a template & traced & cut out crowns for the girls to decorate at the party.   I made giant cupcakes in the large muffin pan, ahead of time & froze them.  The day before the party I cut a hole in the center of them \* places it upside-down on a small pink plastic plate, & removed the clothes from some Kelly dolls that I had bought after Easter, wrapped the dolls body in plastic wrap & stuck her in the hole.  I used decorator frosting to decorate her "cupcake dress" & put some sprinkles on it, tied a pink ribbon in her hair , covered them with plastic wrap & put them in the fridge for the party the next day. I put the clothes, shoes & hat that had come on each in a plastic bag tied with the same pink ribbon.    The party day arrived & we put a sign outside that said princess party here. As each princess arrived the birthday girl gave each a wand.  When everyone was there we started the crowns, I had each spot st the table set up & ready to go with all the supplies. I gave them each some stickers, shiny stars, & each got 4 of the "gems" leftover from the  slippers. I had them put it all where they wanted it & then I came & glue gunned them on. Then I glued 3 colors of tulle on the back for the princess streamers, & I would suggest either gluing them together or stapling them, I used giant paperclips & had to keep adjusting them.       When they were all done I sent them outside where they played musical dot-musical chairs, but using Frisbees for spots since they were all wearing nice dresses. My husband was in charge of this game.  The winner got to hold on to the first clue that would be used later in the treasure hunt.  Then they came back inside to the table where I had set out at each girls place beads (clear colored crystals & shiny metallic ones. I already had a giant gem tied to the middle of each piece of elastic thread.  This also took up some time. While they were doing this I got lunch ready, we served hotdogs, scips carrots & watermelon. Then we came out with the princess cupcakes. After lunch we opened gifts, & then it was time for the treasure hunt. My husband made up the clues & they took off!  They found the treasure & brought it in the house.  We had a small trunk & inside the "treasure " was the glittered shoes, & a bad of candies tied up with the same pink ribbon, we used clear cellophane bags from the party supply aisle at Wal-Mart & candy that wouldn't melt in the heat, & a small bottle of wedding bubbles wrapped in a square of tulle & tied with ribbon. The girls had a ball & the princess party was a hit!     I purchased everything on sale & spent approx. $50.00 on everything, including the food.
