Princess Party
For my daughters 3rd birthday party, we celebrated like royalty. I made the invitations out of card stock in the shape of a princess hat. The colors were silver, purple and pink. The(paper hat) invitations were decorated with stars and glitter with a ribbon coming off the top. Inside was a little poem and party info. The party was outside and we decorated the front porch with white Christmas lights and purple and silver glitter stars hanging from the porch ceiling. I made a wreath for the door..it was silver with glittery stars and a magic wand. The food table was decorated with a pink table cloth and had glitter and stars sprinkled on it. The menu was light..veggies and fruit, crackers, pink lemonade and any pink candy I could find. I also made some magic wands out of long pretzels that I dipped in white chocolate and rolled in candy sprinkles..the kids and adults liked that. For crafts we decorated some crowns that I picked up at Burger King and spray painted silver. For games we played pass the slipper..just like hot potato, pin the star on the wand and slay the dragon(piņata) For prizes, I made some chocolate star lollipops, also bought some herseys treasures and wrapped them in some tulle and tied with a ribbon. For present time my daughter went to her throne...a chair that was decorated that sat in front of the homemade cardboard castle(very cool) It was a perfect background for pictures. The cake was a castle, which I got off of family.com...I usually have someone else make it..but it was so easy and fun. For loot bags I found some neat bags with silver stars and added some purple tissue paper. Girls got a homemade wand a little purse with necklaces and rings and boys got a light up sword and dragon key chains and gold coins. The party was so much fun and the kids want to come back soon to our house.
