Princess Party for my 3 year old daughter.
My daughter is a GIRL with a capital G. So for her 3rd birthday party we invited 4 little girls over with instructions to wear their best fairy princess dresses. When they arrived the girls posed in front of a castle painted on a sheet with fabric paint for group and single pictures. The castle was hung in my daughters bedroom after the party. Once the pictures were over, the girls sat down to play Pass the Present. A princess figurine had been wrapped 8 or 9 times in different colored paper. Between the layers were ring pops. Music from Disney's Cinderella was played and when the music stopped, the girl holding the present could unwrap one layer to find the princess figurine or a ring pop. Next the girls played princess bingo, I scanned pictures of all the Disney princesses into the computer and printed out bingo cards for the girls. The winner got a princess figurine or a ring pop (if they had already won their figurine). The girls really enjoyed the bingo game so we played that several times. Then the girls played pin the necklace onto Cinderella which was great fun for all. After the games I invited the girls to decorate hats with ribbon, flowers and colored feathers, with Mom's help with the glue gun. The girls could also play with the dress up items laid out on a low table next a large mirror, hair accessories, pins, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, play lipstick and fake hair extensions added to the fun. The girls dressed up and we took pictures in front of the castle. An hour and a half into the party the girls were brought into the formal dining room where the table was set for 5 with the good dishes, plastic gilt tiny champagne glasses found at a craft store and a small plastic gilt jewelry box with a necklace that said "princess". The girls enjoyed high tea with tiny finger sandwiches, tiny scones, tiny tarts, tiny cupcakes, tiny chocolate cups, chocolate covered fruit and of course birthday cake. After the party was over, each girl received a purse and were told to pick one of each dress up item to take home. Everyone had a great time.
