Princess Party.  For my daughter's 5th birthday I wanted to make it extra special since it seemed like her older sister got all the cool parties.  She was in a princess mode so I planned the best party ever!!  We sent out scroll invites stating,  Hear Ye!  You are cordially invited to the House of Jorgensen to celebrate Princess Kylie's 5th birthday!! Date, time etc. You will be served a royal buffet. Please respond to the court Jester, which was me.  I put the castle address as well. I phoned the parents and requested the kids dress as princesses.  As they arrived they each picked a piece of jewelry from a golden bag.  (Rings, bracelets from the dollar store.) Birthday girl's crown was longer, pink and pointed with ribbons coming out of the top. Guests then went to the craft table and made crowns, decorated with stickers and glitter glue. As each finished their own crown I took a picture of them with the birthday girl by the throne. I had my brother rush the film to the 1 hour photo and when the photos came back I placed each picture in to a mini, paper castle frame from the scrapbooking store.  I labeled it with the princesses names and dates and sent the picture home with the child. (A huge hit!!)   I had decorated the table with pink tablecloth, plates that had gems on them and had bought plastic wine glasses and decorated them with plastic gems and glitter glue, (they went into treat bags when children went home)  sprinkled confetti on table and her daddy had bought her pink and white carnations too. The night before I put white craft paper all over one wall in our house. I then drew a castle on it and made it look like it had a drawbridge.  Her throne was a raised chair, covered in white tablecloth and 6 helium, pink balloons tied to it.  She has a kids make up table with mirror so I set it out and put out mini lipsticks, mini gloss, mini blush and cotton balls for the ladies to freshen their faces.  We played musical chairs, pin the tail on the dragon and had fun. Pink juice, a princess Barbie cake and hot dogs was the royal buffet. Treat bags were a heart stamped cellophane bag containing lipstick, gem glass, ring, mini nail polish and treats. It was worth it when one jealous mom said, some people just go too far!! I had so much fun.
