Okay, the theme for my son's part was "Motocross, which incidently is not listed in your birthday ideas, so I had to wing it on my own. First we sent out the invitations, with his photo
(getting air) on the front,on the inside we set it like a race schedule, Irvin's Backwoods Raceway announces their 9th Moto-x Birthday Bash, Bring your dirtbikes and gear for the celebration.
Gates open at 1:00, practice begins @1:30, prizes and awards will be given to the overall, sponsored by Dad&Mom, ect.... When the racers, arrived they immediatly began riding, of course,
my son has a practice track, so this was perfect. We had 10 racers, and we bought mini trophies for the awards, we awarded them with, holeshot, !st place, 2nd place,ect... everyone got
something. Then we played "Dress-Out", which was a blast, we let them change into their play clothes, took their riding gear, which consists of pants, jersey, helmet, goggles,
chest-protector, gloves, ect..we took them and placed them in small piles, blindfolded, they had 2:00 to grab a piece from each pile, then we reset the clock to 1:00 to see who could
dress-out first. We then crowned the champ, "King Of Motocross". It was very interesting, because they are dif. sizes. We took pics, to send home. Then it was "half-time"
time to eat. They ordered at the "concession stand" hot-dogs, hamburgers, chips, and gatorade, just like at the races. We even made a menu.Of course we served cake, with the photo
on it, like the invitation. The picnic area was covered with checkered flag table cloths, and the ketchup was served in never used plastic oil bottles. we had many extras. For entertainment
during half-time, the adults raced monkey bikes, which was hilarious. We made up t-shirts for a memorabilia, so that everyone could remember, "THE BASH" . Everyone said they had a
great time, and wanted to know if their name was on the list for next year. The kids of course rode some more, and they got to practice and party in one day, and had a great time doing it.
