For my son's 3rd birthday we had a Fireman/Rescue Heroe Party. The invites were those from the local store with rescue heroes on it. Since you have to pass the firestation on your way to our
house we all met there (this was coordinated earlier with the firemen). When the children arrived, they were given firehats, badges and coloring books from the Chief and then they got a tour
of the station. The kids all got to take turns in the drivers seat of the truck and ring the siren etc. One of the firemen dressed in full gear and allowed the kids to try on the boots and
hat. When the tour was done, my son was presented with a special gift from the station...a dalmation stuffed animal. We gave the Firemen a firetruck cake that I made. We all eventually
ended up at our house where we had cake and ice cream and opened gifts. The children had fun breaking the firetruck pinata adn getting all the candy and goodies. For their goody bags I
purchased (at the dollar store) firetruck cars and stickers...along with the candy from the pinata. It was a lot of fun and the entertainment was cheap:)
