I am throwing the ever so famous rubber ducky themed birthday for my daughters 2nd birthday. All of the plates, napkins, cups, and tableclothes feature rubber ducks and bubbles which I
found in a party store. We are having tons of blue, yellow and white latex balloons that match the decor and 2 duck mylar balloons(party city).
Instead of a cake i decided to buy the Wilton Desert stand for cupcakes and more which can be found at most party and craft stores as well as online, and filling it up with homemade cupcakes. I ordered miniature rubber ducks that are wearing little birthday hats(oriental trading magazine) and put frosting on the bottom of the ducks and placed them on the cupcakes to keep them in place. Then i used a frosting bag with the small nosel and made little round circles all around the ducks out of white frosting to give the look of bubbles. For the food We are making cold sandwiches and cutting them out with a duckie cookie cutter,we are also putting gerber fruit puffs in little pails labeled "Duck Feed," as well as making cheese and Quackers! We are filling a punch bowl with blue Hawian punch and floating miniture rubber duckies on top. For the gifts we are wrapping them in blue and yellow paper with blue and yellow bows. I purchased small wooden ducks that are already painted for $.49 each(michaels). We are going to write on them and use them as gift tags on the presents. For music we are playing splish splash and the rubber duckie song. We are having a bubble machine so the children will be surrounded in bubbles during song time. For the treat bags i bought Rubber ducky party bags that have ducks and bubbles on them(birthdaymonster.com). We are filling them with homemade duck choclate candies made from duck candy molds(michaels), scented bubbles, ducky stickers, and duckie necklaces(oriental trading magazine).
