Just Ducky! For my daughter's first birthday I choose a rubber ducky theme. I started by creating invitations with a picture of a rubber ducky (with a pink hairbow for a feminine touch).
The invitation read, "Rubber ducky you are the one to make ______ first birthday so much fun! Waddle over to our pond for fun, games and surprises!" For snacks I made duck molded
yellow candy, baby goldfish served in ducky cupcake liners, mm's, chips and dip and party mix. The cake was made by a local baker and the girl ducky from the party invitations was drawn on
top with a smaller round cake made just for my daughter to dig into. On top of this cake a placed a small ducky candle. For tableware I purchased blue napkins accented with ducks and plain
yellow party plates. Yellow tuplips decorated the table and a small ducky gift bag from Target served as a smaller table decoration. Ducky and bubble confetti was also placed on the
tables. Yellow and blue streams were drapped from the ceiling in the dining room where we served cake. A huge mylar duck balloon and latex yellow and blue balloons were attached to the chairs
and my daughters high chair. For games we played the duck pond game where each child had to find a matching color duck and everyone received a prize of a mesh bag with 1 large and 2 small
rubber ducks. The next game was pin the beak on the duck (made from our computer) where one child received a wrapped gift of finger paints. We also had a color table with colors and ducky
color pages. The party favors were Wilton favor bags that had duckys imprinted on them. In the bags were ducky whistles, squirty ducks, yellow party horn, duck stickers, smarties and a
chocolate candy bar wrapped with custom pink wrappers with ducks and a note thanking them for attending the party. We also provided wrapped bars for the adults too. All which I presented in a
white easter basket. This was a fun party for all children that attended. My daughter had a blast!
