My son just turned one!  I was struggling with ideas and thought that a rubber ducky idea would be original. Well, it wasn't as original as I thought but I have come up with some great ideas and I can't wait to see it is action.  I searched high and low for invitations and since I was unable to find anything that were reasonably priced I made my own with stamps and card stock. The inside said, "Rubber Ducky your the one, to make my birthday so much fun". I'm turning one! Join us to celebrate August X, 2003. R.S.V.P. to my mommy and daddy. They were so cute! I purchased plates & napkins with rubber ducks on them.  I found a large rubber duck balloon and a "1" balloon at a local party store.  On the serving table the center piece was a display of cookies in a plush rubber duck basket (purchased at www.cookiesbydesign.com). I purchased a duck printed fabric that I placed in a basket under the rolls. I placed boxes under the tablecloths to give the table more dimension. The punch (blue raspberry/7-up)is in a tin bucket with scoops of ice cream as bubbles and floating rubber ducks. The ice was in a sand pail using the shovel as the scooper. I found duck sand toys that I used as snack bowls that I placed out side on the tables.  I purchased a large rubber duck online that we put in the pool along with smaller ducks. I borrowed a bubble machine that we placed in a corner...the kids love bubbles! We had lots of balloons all over the deck along with streamers. When people first arrived the were greeted by a life size duck.  After the duck the guest followed duck prints to the door where there was a pond drawn on the ground that said "Come on in, the water is great". The party was a huge success.
