RUB-A-DUB-DUB Bathtub party - For my daughter's 1st birthday I wanted it to be really special.
Since her favorite thing in the world to do is take a bath - that's what we used for our theme. We make a faucet and hot/cold water knobs out of cardboard and covered them with aluminum foil. They were huge. We attached them to our counter and used blue streamers to look like water coming out. We covered the walls and floors in the kitchen with a roll of the light blue table cloth covers - too look like you were in the bath. I took sheets of yellow poster board and cut out rubber ducks and put them all over the walls. Out of white poster board we cut out a ton of circles to look like bubbles and taped them on the wall. We blew up clear, white and blue balloons - some with helium - some without. We used her baby bathtub (which she was took big for) for the chips - I made blue punch and put cool whip on top for bubbles. The birthday cake was a baby in a bathtub (oval cake on bottom - 1/2 football pan for tub and mini ball for head) there were bubbles everywhere. For her individual cake it was a 6" cake with a rubber duck. We had rubber duck cookies. For loot bags we gave away Mr. Bubble and bath toy. We played splish splash and rubber duck for the kids to dance to. It was a great party - we even had some people come in bathrobes with shower caps!!
