For my son's 1st birthday party we had a rubber duckie party.  For the invitations I got blue paper and folded it three times once from the top and once from the bottom.  On the front I made a white bathtub with a yellow duck in it with bubbles all around. On the bathtub it said "Guess Who's Turning 1!!" When you opened the bottom it said his name and when you opened the top I put a poem there that read "Our baby's Turning One! A year's gone by, How time has flown, We can't believe how Jesse has grown! He's such a joy and so much fun, Oh My, Our baby's turning one!!" And in the middle was all the information for the party. We decorated in yellow, blue, and white. The cake was a bought cake with blue icing and the same picture as the invitation on the top. We had ice cream and blue Jell-O with whip cream on top for those kids that can't eat ice cream and blue punch with rubber duckies floating in it. For games we played put the duckie in the bathtub, we had a little swimming pool with ducks floating in it and the kids pick a duck and there was numbers on the bottom and they would get a prize that matched the number, then we played pop the bubble everyone got a clear balloon that I had put candy and toys in earlier and they tried to pop them any way they could and we had face painting. Everyone got a prize with every game that away noone's feeling got hurt. For the party favor bags, the one's for the kids that come to the party I got white wash cloths and painted their names on them with yellow paint, and a rubber duckie, a small thing of bubbles for the bath, a bar of soap that I put duckie stickers on and then put mod-pog on the stickers so they would not get mest up with the water, and a small thing of blow bubbles in a bag with a poem tied to it that read "One year ago on (child's birth day), alittle angel blessed our lives. We named him (child's name). In the past year, he has learned so much, how to drink from a cup, feed himself, crawl, walk, talk, laugh, and love. (Child's name) and his parents thank you for coming today to help celebrate his/her first birthday!!" The adults also got a yellow candle with a card that had the poem printed on it!!
