2-year old Duck Party My 2-year old loves to "quack" and wave her arms like a duck, so we decided to have a Duck party to celebrate her birthday.
Her birthday is in July in Texas so it's hot. For invitations, I bought printable invitations that said, "You're invited to a Duck Party Cuz Lindsay's turning TWO! We'll splash and play in our duck pond So bring your duck's swim suit! Enjoy Duck Quake and ice quream and the sneaque preview of Lindsay 1st year video." I bought a Suzy Zoo duck stamp and my 3.5 yr. old and I colored the picture with markers. We had 3 inflatable pools in our back yard, which the kids all loved. We had one of our plastic slides slide into one of the round pools which was a lot of fun. For the cake I made a 2 layer round cake. I made green grass on the sides and a blue pond on the top and stuck 2 small rubber duckies on top - very easy and very cute. I also had a punch bowl with blue Kool-Aid and small rubber duckies swimming in the pond - also very easy and very cute. The 1st year video is a 30 minute summary of her first year of life. It was a year late, but even more fun to view a year late. Everyone had a great time - I was even asked to make my 13 year old birthday cake, because mine looked so cute. This was very amusing to me because I am not a cake decorator.
