We just celebrated my daughters first birthday and we chose Rubber Ducks & Bubbles. It turned out great and we got MANY complements. Colors were blue, yellow and white. The house was
decorated in balloons & streamers. Instead of the traditional game pin the tail on the donkey we changed it by playing Put the ducky Bubble in the Bath Tub. We used the clip art program
on the computer and put ducks in bubbles and cut them out w/ the kids name on them. We glued a tub to a piece of Yellow poster board and in Blue wrote Splish Splash across the top. The cake
looked like water and I took Rubber ducks to the bakery and they placed them on the cake and writing was in yellow. She had her own cake which again had her own lil duck on it. For party bags
I finger painted ducks and bubbles on white gift bags and in bubble letters wrote kids names on them. In the bags were duck whistles, animal crackers, duck sippy cups, rubber ducks and candy.
I also made duck hats out of yellow sun visors and big google eyes w/ orange fun foam. They were a hit!! To drink it was blue Kool-Aid in a punch bowl w/ ducks floating in it. And besides
chips and sandwiches we had duck shaped cookies and Oreos dipped in blue to look like bubbles. All in all it was a great and different theme for one year olds and it was a huge success.
