We had a Rubber Ducky theme for my daughters first birthday.
We sent out handmade invitations that were a postcard with a ducky stamp. We decorated with yellow, blue and white balloons. We had blue tablecloth with cut out ducks glued on. We started the party by having the kids decorate their party hats (stickers, pom poms, glitter glue, anything we could find)for the second game I had them fill yellow socks with jelly beans which we used for a bean bag toss, we played pass the duck(hot potato)to the music of ernies rubber ducky song, the last game was pin the bill on the duck. Our last craft was to decorate the handmade felt puppets with gogglie eyes, feathers(this project turned out to be bigger than I expected, but they looked cute)Our cake was a big rubber ducky (recipe I got from birthdayexpress.com)I also made a little duck cake for the birthday girl to enjoy, we served this with blue punch (I floated rubber ducks on top) for dinner we served spaghetti which was a really inexpensive way to feed a lot of people. Our gift bags were yellow and blue lunch bags with cutout ducks glued on inside was bubbles, rubber duck ,sponges, duck shaped soap, and of course a rubber duck
