Safari Party for a 4 year old girl and a 2 year old girl. My girls birthdays are 6 days apart instead of trying to bring in all the family in 2 different weekends we have one big party. I made
their invitations out of brown paper in the shape of a safari hat we glued different animal shapes on each one that I had cut out. I saved toilet paper rolls and covered them with different
color construction paper and I wrapped another color band around two to form binoculars I put holes on the two sides and tied a piece of yarn for a strap. As the guests arrived we had them
sit down and write their name and color and put stickers on their binoculars. We gave each child a safari hat that I ordered from (oriental trading). As they sat down to kid sized tables they
each had a gift bag in each bag they had safari bubbles and different safari toys and a sticker sheet, I made a noteclip paper out of a piece of cardstock and a piece of wax paper attached
over the cardstock with a safari sticker to look like a noteclip. we used this and the animal stickers for our hayride. The kids first had ham and cheese sandwiches decorated to look like
lions, with chowmain noodles ,shredded cheese, olive slices, and poppy seeds. They also had individual mac-n-cheese cups, fruit salad, and a popcorn mixture with dried bananas and pineapple.
Their food was served on plate's with the safari animals on it. The adults had a ring sandwich buffet. The tables were decorated with animal print linens with plastic animal figurines with
animal print balloons tied to them. I made their birthday cakes in the shape of an animal head Chloe had a Lion and Reagan had a tiger the children got cupcakes with sugar animal heads
and the adults had a monkey cake with choc. monkeys hanging off the side with runt candy bananas and spearmint gummi leaves! we had the party outside and we set up the food in the garage and
most of the food tables. Before the party I got a refrigerator box from the furniture store. I opened it up to form a big screen in the garage to block any clutter, I painted life size
elephant, monkeys, crocodile, giraffe and vines with leaves on the box it made a perfect background for the gift opening area. I also painted with the help of my sister all the animals
life-size that was on the sheet of stickers that the kids received in their goodybags we cut them out and I had my husband put them in the pines field we took the kids on a safari hayride and
everyone had their binoculars, safari hat, and their clipboard and sticker sheet when they spotted the animals in the pines they had to take their sticker off their sheet and put them on
their clipboard, that way we knew we found all 12 animals when we got back to our house we had a big sign that My sister and I painted of a cartoon safari man by a sign that said I Survived
Reagan and Chloe's Safari party! We took pictures of everyone at the party the adults too. and we sent out he Thank you notes with their pictures. To finish the party we had a tiger piņata
full of candy the kids love to hit the piņata. This was a party full of fun!
