Animal Themed Lunch and a Scavenger Hunt
This party is fun, fairly inexpensive, and simple to put together. The girls first met at The Elephant Grill, a jungle themed restaurant, for lunch. But you could also meet at the Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, and other themed restaurants. To keep the cost down, every guest got to chose their lunch item from the children's menu which also included dessert and a beverage. As the girls arrived at the restaurant, we stuck a sign on their back with tape. Each sign had an animals name such as a monkey or an elephant. The rules were that in order to take the sign off your back you had to ask yes or no questions about your animal. Once you guessed your animal correctly, you could take off the sign. After Lunch we then went to the near by nature museum that also had live animals. THe admission for this museum was only one dollar per child. The girls were split off into two teams and given home-made scavenger hunt sheets. The first part of the sheet had ten questions on them. These questions were riddles and you had to find the correct animal that matched the description and write it down on the sheet. We met at a certain place in twenty minutes and proceeded to the nearby beach for the second part. At the beach you had to find certain things such as a rock that's shaped like a heart in ten minutes. And afterwards I let them play at the beach for a while. Finally we went home and they ate cake opened presents and handed out the prize bags. The winning team got prize bags with hair things, lipgloss, etc. and the other team got a consolation bag with less things but just as nice. This was great because the girls could trade their prizes before they went home.
