Safari Party - For my daughters 2 yr. old party we had a jungle theme.
When the kids arrived, I had animal foam masks that were ordered from oriental trading place. I wasn't sure if they would wear them, but they did. They loved acting as animals even the older kids (kids ranged from 2 to 10 yrs old). We made binoculars from the toilet paper rolls and colored saran wrap as the craft. I ordered 24 blow up balls that looked like jungle animals from oriental trading place. I used some of them to decorate with, some for a game and at the end the kids took them home for a prize. We played find the jungle animals. I gave each kid a flashlight and sent them into the dark basement to look for the animals. The kids loved it...we played it a couple of times...and then the kids took over and played it for about an hour. We also played jungle bingo with animal pictures and had a piņata. We decorated with a tropical tree and stuffed animals all around. The cake was a tiger cake made with a round cake and two cupcake ears. We had jungle juice, animal Gumi's, fruit and other snacks. My sister-n-law brought over her live ferret for the kids to see. I sent the kids home with canteens, the blow up animals, flashlights and a few other small things. Kids of all ages enjoyed this party idea.
