REPTILE PARTY appropriate for preschoolers Invite:  We're going to have a CROC of fun at Alex's 4th birthday party.  Give the vitals and on the back write...See you later alligator. (what else?) Decorations: Green Fishing net, green anything, pool size inflatable alligator, misc. reptile toys already in your possession (which may be likely if you're choosing this theme!) Cupcakes:  Cut an ice cream cone in half (you'll need one half per cupcake). Either frost the half green entirely or pipe green frosting around the cut edge.  Also pipe nostrils and eyes for a gator head.  Use white to pipe teeth.    Drinks: Green Gatorade, of course! Activities:  Here are more than enough activities, incase short attention spans leave you needing this many. Gator/Croc/turtle Egg hunt: Make a nest of shredded paper with the eggs inside. Let each kid take a turn pulling out treat filled eggs. Pass the Cobra: Hot potato with a sock decorated like a snake. Lizard drop: Find some small lizard clip art and print. Color and glue to Popsicle sticks and have the kids drop the Lizards into a wide mouthed container (decorated or not). Pin the tail on the Croc:  Self-explanatory Zookeeper says:  Simon says stick your tongue out like a snake, open your mouth like a gator, etc. Feed the Crocodile: Make a croc head out of two pieces of poster board with a LARGE open mouth.  Have the kids throw balls or bean bags through the hole. BACK UP ACTIVITIES:  Decorate goodie bags, freeze dance, animal charades, have a book ready to read to them if they get to active and need a break to calm down. PARTY BAGS:  Paper bags to be colored, stamped, etc. INCLUDE:  Reptile stickers, gummy worms, Plastic reptile animals (Toys R Us carries a barrel of reptiles)
