ORANGE YOU HAPPY IT'S MY BIRTHDAY?!?
This a great party idea! I did it for my 12th birthday but it could easily be done for any age. It was a daytime party, about three or four hours. \*INVITES\*:I just did orange (its a given) invites. They had the normal stuff, but they also said to wear as much orange as you possibly could, there was a prize for the person who had the most on. It was amazing how many people got really into it! I wore a shirt that said, "orange you happy to see me!" \*DECORATIONS AND FOOD\*: We went all out on the orange! We had orange streamers, table clothes, candles, utensils, plates, and everything. I also put orange balloons everywhere. I put them on my mailbox also, so then my friends who had not been to my house knew where the party was.For lunch, we had orange chicken, a fabulous chinese food! We also had sides like chow mein and stuff. I created my own ice cream cake at my local grocery store. It was filled with orange creamscicle ice cream, delicious! We also had orange soda and other little snacks. \*ACTIVITIES\*: 1) My friends and I went on an orange scavenger hunt! Before hand, I made a list of all sorts of orange things. Then we went around to all my neighbors and asked for the orange things on the list. Half of my friends went to one side of the neighborhood, and half went to the other side. Once we had the items, we put them in orange baskets. The list included things like an orange flavored tea bag, an unused orange napkin, an orange sock, a book with an orange title, a carrot, and things like that. The winners (which turned out to be everyone because it was a tie) got gift certificates to our favortie ice cream shop (I LOVE ice cream!!!!!). 2) We decorated orange flip flops! Before hand, I bought some cheap, plane, orange flip flops. Then we decorated them with orange rhinestones and orange ribbons and stuff. Loads of fun, and I still see my friends wearing them! 3) Musical nail polish!!!! This is an fun alternitive to musical chairs! I bought a whole bunch of nail polishes, all shades of orange! All the girls sat in a circle and my dad turned on the music. While the music is playing, all the girls pass the polishes around. When the music stops, everyone who has a nail polish gets to paint one toe. This repeats until someone gets all of their toes painted, that person wins! \*PARTY FAVORS\*: For party favors, I went to my local grocery store and a cute little accessory store and bought little, inexpensive goodies. This included things like orange tic tacs, orange lip glosses, these cute little orange calculators, cute orange pens, and other things like that. This is a really fun and inexpensive party, especially for teenage girls! I hope it helped you!
