For my 10th birthday party I invited 9 girls for a mall scavenger hunt. (10 girls including me) My
mom didn't let me see the clues since she knew that it would be cheating. We picked the teams by writing each girl's name down on a piece of paper and picking them out of a bag on the night before the party. (You can do it in front of the girls on the day of the party if you like) There were 2 teams with 5 girls on each one. Our local mall has a resturant named Ruby Tuesday. My mom made reservations there for the day of the party. On the night of the party my mom, my brother, and I made frog cupcakes because I love frogs. On the day of my party, after all the girls had arrived we got out first clue. We were supposed to go to a fountain and meet the "Mall Fairy" which was really a girl that watched me at a YMCA after school program. She wore a tiara and waved a wand by the fountain, then she gaves us a purse filled with clues and a penny so we could make a wish. After we made out wish each girl would pick a clue out of the purse. There were riddle clues like "You may find me in the fields, but never in a yard. Please bring me back a perfume scented card!" (Marshall Fields) and "I live in the forest and I'm big and I'm rough. But if you ask nicely they may give you some of my fluff!". ( Build - a - Bear Workshop) Then we got a dollar each to get something from the dollar store. Since we ran (we weren't supposed too!) each person on each team got soda. My team won. The winning team got lip balm and 2 pieces of chocolate while the losing team got just lip balm. Then we went to Ruby Tuesday, opened gifts and ate our food. For food I made a list and the girls would write their name under what they would want to eat. While we waited for food we opened presents. My party was a huge success so you should try this if you have a girl turning any age. 2 parents were with each team so it was very safe. Nothing bad happened so I would have to say that it was the best birthday party I ever had
