For one of my birthdays, i had a scavenger hunt party. For the invatations, we took some plain cardstock and cut it into rectangles, with a bit of a trimmed edge. On the invatation, we drew
our park with little objects like bottle caps and bits of string. When the guests arrived, right away, we gave them lists with objects that coulg be foung aroung the neighboorhood and park,
like bottle caps, bits of newspaper, nuts, and string. We gave them 1 hour (or as long as it takes for the first team to finish) and the first team that came back first got some small prizes.
when all the teams had their objects, we lead them outside to our picnic table and told them to devide their objects with their group. Once that was done, we all hot glued our little object
together, (into shapes) and created little sculptures which the kids could keep after. After that, with the objects left over, we played pin the objects on (or in) the garbage can. Whoever
could get their object closer so the inside of the garbage can, would win a small prize. The board which we played on was a big photo of a park with a small garbage can in the middle. Then we
opened the presents and had cake. The cake was shaped in a slide shaped way with red icing for the slide. Then all the kids got to decorate their own ice cream sandwitches with icing and
sprinkles. The loot bags had some candy and little toys in them. Then all the kids left. It is an economical party and lots of fun too!
