Scaverger Hunt For my twins (boy, girl) 10th birthday I decided to host a scaverger hunt for them and their friends thoughout our subdivision. Guest were invited to come with the greatest invites I believe I have come up with yet!! Many of he RSVP's came in with a "I loved the invitations!". I went to Walmart and asked for their used film canisters.   I made labels that said, "Come Join us for a "PICTURE PERFECT" Birthday Party for Tyler and Taylor April 24th 1pm. Our House.  On the inside of the film canister I had made stips of paper with my home computer print shop progam that looked like a roll of film strip. On the paper I had the following: TYLER AND TAYLOR'S BIRTHDAY SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY APRIL 24TH 1PM-4PM OUR HOUSE. "Its a team scaverger hunt that's gonna be a lot of fun! Wear your tennis shoes and get ready to run.  With a list and a camera you'll be sent out to race, pictures you will collect so put a smile on your face!  RSVP as soon as possible for Taylor and Tyler's party! Phone #: I rolled up the paper and inserted it into the canisters. The twins hand delvered the invites to many oohhss and ahhh! As the guests arrived they created foam visors with self stick letters to write their names and various other shapes such as pirates, bugs, sports emblems and rock and roll symbols. Girls had red hats (my daughter is a tom boy and cringes at pink) and blue for the boys.  They them added their name to their teams flag.  I made team flags (red for TEAM TAYLOR  and blue for TEAM TYLER) out of dows from Micheals (.70 cents) and bandannas. I wrote team Taylor on the red one and Team Tyler on the Blue one.  Each child signed their name to the team in which they belonged.  In my case we did boys against the girls. When the hats were made and the flags all signed each group grabbed their water bottles (purchased at Micheals and had each child's name painted on and was filled with ice cold water) and went off to their base to meet with their adult leader.  My husband took the boys and I took the girls. We had a flag holder, a "scribe" who marked off our "found" items and a time keeper per each team (kids who attended the party) and my husband and I took all the picutes.  Each of us had a disposable camera.   Each team had a list of items to collect with their camera.  An example of the list follows: Team picture with everyone making a funny face.  Piture of whole team with a christmas decoration, picture of the birthday child holding a gallon of milk, whole team touching water, team picture with a yellow vehicle, team picture in a bathroom, Birthday child with a fish, team picture with a baby,  I had 20 pictures they needed to collect within a 1 and 1/2 hours.  They where permitted to ask neighbors but could only ask each nieghbor for no more than two things.  The teams then returned and we played a few relay games such as izzy dizzy bat race, cracker whistle, and egg toss. We then had cake ice cream and opened presents. The gifts or goodie bags for the kids were the water bottles and the hats.  We then wrote our thank you's for the gifts on the back of the picutres (we had two copies of each camera made) and gave a picture to each attendee of themselves having a great time as our thank yous!
