Scavenger Hunt...      This one gets all the kids outdoors for some running around a bit and ends up with the birthday cake.       First, I get all the kids around the table and start singing Happy birthday. I open the cake box to everyone's despair the cake is missing! But there is a piece of paper explaining that if they follow all the clues they will find the cake... the search is on!      I make up several "Clues" and place them all over the yard and property and each clue leads to the next. Such as "since we are at the farm, find where the animals live... in a _____." They all run to the barn and find the next clue which is in an easy place to find. This goes on until all the clues are found and they find the cake at their last clue. I usually place the cake somewhere in the house and that always gets all the kids back inside and ready to sing happy birthday again.
