For my sons seventh birthday. I booked lab time at the local fiber arts place. The idea was to tie dye shirts. We sent out invitations that I had drawn up that were a big tie-dyed shirt
colored in with colored pencils. I then wrote the information with a black marker and outlined the shirt. I had copies made then we folded the paper in thirds put a cool sticker on them and
passed them out. For the party we made a cake frosted with rainbow icing. (we bought vanilla frosting and then divided it and colored it with food coloring.) We then baked another cake and
after it cooled cut out circles frosted them with the remaining frosting. put them on the cake. Added frosted "string". We had 3-d ballons! We wrote Happy, 7th, Birthday, Jesse,. On
word for each balloon. We brought our own t-shirts. The only thing we paid for was the lab time, cake mix, frosting, and small bag of candy. The kids had a great time. They had a cool shirt
and we spent under 40 dollars. It was great!!!
