My son just turned 6yrs old and loves Scooby Do... so, we decided to have a Scooby Do Party!  We got Scooby Do invites at Target with the treat bags, stickers, party horns to match.  I then made Scooby Do collars for each of the boys.  I bought blue ribbon and cut it to fit loosely around their neck.  Then I used some already sticky velcro on each end to make it easily attachable/removable! Then I used some gold key rings  8pkg 69 cents at WalMart. I used colored cardstock paper from my scrapbook collection of Orange, Yellow and Blue to match the ribbon. I layered it to look just like the collar on the front of the invitations in the diamond shape. I then copied the same kind of SD for "Scooby Do" on the front with a special gold pen! These did take time but they turned out soooo cute!  We put those on when they first arrived and many started mimicking the "Scooby Dooby Doooo" saying!!! We then started with a game of "Find Scooby doo's clues." This is played similarly to a easter egg hunt but I made paw prints out of white cardstock and black marker and cut them out.  I then hid them around the house like a egg hunt. For the prizes, I had REAL Scooby snacks (Cinnamon graham crackers shaped like a dog bone with "Scooby" on them) I bought at Walmart and they were a huge hit!!! For every clue (paw print) they found they would get a Scooby snack!  I made sure that everyone found at least one! Then we went on a Ghost Hunt, (very much like a Treasure Hunt)but with a Mystery twist on all the clues, with mysterious moaning noises, water running, boots clomping and grumbling and growling noises too, with of course, Scooby snacks as the prize for each clue found!  It even had all the right Lingo, like Jinkey Guy's, Grooovey and YIKES...etc! It had them going from one side of the house to the other and at the end of the hunt it didn't end up being a ghost after all.  Just like in about every show.... It was a big misunderstanding Ethan's Dad was the ghost and was just trying to get himself cleaned up after working outside in the yard, so thus the boot clomping...the water running for the shower...the grumbling and growling was his tummy so hungry and went to get food etc.... It was then that they had one more clue to find his hidden stash, a shoe box FULL of treats!  It was a huge success and they all wanted to do it again!!! But of course, the fun didn't stop there... what does Shaggy and Scooby like to do best?  They like to EAT!!! We decorated our own cupcakes with in the can spray whipcream and their choice of sprinkles etc... then we topped it all off with a candle for each and the b-day boy had a "6" on his cupcake...we sang and added ice cream and their choice of punch or chocolate milk. We then opened gifts and as always we started with the one who showed up first and went down the line from there!  We then let them enjoy the toys, playing and etc. until it was time to go!  We let each of them take a helium balloon home and a treat bag FULL of all the hidden stash of treats they found with the favors, including stickers and party horn to drive their Mom's mad at home with! Hee he! :)  Hope you enjoyed this one and use some of our ideas for your own.
