Scooby Doo Slumber Party.  My daughter wanted a slumber party for her 7th birthday.  I allowed her to invite 4 friends (it's good to keep the number small at this age!).    I assigned each girl a character from the Scooby gang and printed name tags, complete with pictures of the charachter.  Our first activity was a mystery treasure hunt. Each clue stop had parts for each character to read so they would all feel included.  The stops were just around town, but I decorated my mini-van so we could take the "Mystery Machine."  Our stops included: an old covered bridge, a pond with a fountain, a pond in the woods, the sledding hill, a neighbor's backyard tree fort, and the final destination was back inside the house.   It would take too long to list all of the clues, but one was special.  It read "Friends stick by you all the time, no matter what the weather. But to make it through this clue, you'll see, you'll have to stick together!" I printed out five sheets of velum, each with a name at the top. Each piece had every fifth word on it.  So to read all the words, they had to hold the pieces together and hold the clue up to the light.   Upon hunting down their final clue, the girls followed the instructions back inside to find ghostly footprints (baby powder) headed upstairs.  Once there, they found all their goody bags, balloons, and a congratulations note from the Creeper (Scooby monster).    Later they dressed up with hats, boas, etc. and got their picture taken together. This fit well with our craft - small photo albums to decorate. I printed out the pictures and inserted them into their decorated albums.   We finished off the evening with delivered pizza, cake (shaped like a hamburger with a Scooby candle on top), and the Scooby Doo 2 movie.  For breakfast the girls had fruit and donuts.
