For my daughters 4th bday party we did scooby doo. so we stuck to scooby doo theme things as well as kindda groovey 60's feel. for the invitations i used paper with groovey smiley faces on it.
and i wrote the invite like it was a clue of some sort. it said jinkie! a birthday clue scooby-doo. they in a erie font clue food cake ice cream mysteriously wrapped boxes with bows and lots
of meddling kids. it must be... (name) birthday party.. and for where: on the invitation i put mystery inc. head quarters (then our address) on the invitation i asked everyone to bring
a solid white t-shirt. because for the paty activity we tie dyed shirts to go along with 60's theme. (which this was a huge huge it with everyone. we had older people doing them little
children we even had some people doing onsies for babies). i decorated the house some what scary and some what 60's i made black bats of out construction paper and hung them over the
chandelier where the cake table was. i also hung balloon and 60's style flowers all over the house with streemers too. i had the bakery put the haunted house that is on the original
scooby-doo shows and it was really neat looking the moon and the windows looked like they were glowing and then where the drive way came down i put a mystery maching to give the cake
demention. i use sherbert and ginger ale for the punch and it had a lot of foam and i put a big ugly spider in it. i played music from the scooby doo sound tracks and had a scooby doo dvd
playing over and over in the kids play room. i used a computer paper box and i painted it aqua blue and i painted it to look like the mystery machine i printed out pics of the characters and
glued them to the front whre the window was. it looked really cool. and then i cut a hole in the top of the box and they kids did a mystery grab for the favors they took home. i had all kinds
of things in it. and for favor bags i took brown lunch bags i filled them with different stuff like scooby snacks (little dog bones) i covered lolly pops with tissue and made them look like
ghost. we put scooby doo fruit snacks in them and some other candies and goodies. but the best is the way i closed the bags. is i pinched the left side into like a triangle and wrapped a
rubber band around it and i did the same thing with the other side. if you pinch them right they will look like ears. then i drew scoobys face on them and his color. i swear they looked just
like him it was awesome. and they were a huge huge hit. this was actually last years party but while i was on i wanted to share a few of these ideas cuz a few of them were really really good
those bags were adorable!!! give it a try. we also did things like spider webs and stuff you would decorate for halloween. but i did the 60' flower power stuff too because i wanted to kindda
make it girly too. have fun"
