Scooby-Doo Theme! First-we got all kinds of free Scooby doo movie posters from our local movie rental store to
decorate with. The food was a large size sandwich like Shaggy and Scooby always eat. We also had Scooby snacks-(bone cut out sugar cookies) The punch was mystery Punch-everyone had to guess what was in it! (a basic sherbet type fruit punch) We had a Scooby cake and ice cream shaped as little bones. (easy to do with a cookie cutter!) The games was all based on a large size box. On each side of the box was a different character from the show! The Scooby side had Scooby's mouth open and the children took turns throwing in dog bones to feed Scooby. The winner was who got the most in. The Velma side was Velma without her glasses (she is always losing her glasses on the show!) We then had a scavenger hunt around the yard for her glasses. The Fred/Daphne side of the box had holes near their necks . Both these characters wear scarves so we had a big bag filled with different things and each child without looking had to put their hand in and try to pull out a scarf. The last side was Shaggy and this was a huge finale! Shaggy head was cut out and my very loving husband was in the box and stuck his head out as Shaggy. the children then threw Jell-O jigglers bones with whipped cream at him and he tried to eat them! Of course, most landed sticking on his face and making a huge laugh! What we liked most about these games is all the children of all different ages could play all the games-low on competition and perfect for mixed ages.
