Retro Party The theme was 60s, 70s.
The invitations were sent early with instructions. They had to dress in fashion, bring a retro "gag gift" and could enter a talent show (lip sync to an old fav song, drama, or group effort). They each brought a picture of themselves from high school that I placed on a bulletin board. Best costume award given. My deco was flower power, bright colors, beads, disco ball, pop idols and gameroom (where we had retro Olympics: (hula hoop; tidily winks; pick up sticks; etc)... trivia: name that old cartoon or t.v. show) I also had a DJ who played seventies music thru the evening and had his own "name that TV theme song game." My prizes and goody bags were all retro: slinky, paper dolls, trolls, albums, posters etc) Had a "Munchies" area for sandwiches, chips and drinks. This lasted all evening and no one was bored for a minute. I took pictures of all thruout evening.
