OK, every year I sort  of have a similiar birthday party because my birthday is in August and I have a pool in my back yard. This year I decided to keep some of my ideas but make them even better! INVITATIONS- For my invitations;   I made invitations on word with flowers and cool font, printed them out with the time: the date: what it was: who it was for: What to bring:  and who's invited:..... after printing i punched a hole through the top of the paper and tied a Hot pink ribbon in a bow. SETTING UP: I told the guests to bring a pair of sophies and a tank top for dancing and a swimming suit and there favorite pajamas and any other sleep over stuff they needed. I also asked them IF THEY WANTED TO they could bring makeup or movies. SETTING UP #2- i went outside and took a table and put a pink table cloth thing over one side and an orange one over the other side so it would look tropical. then i bought doritos, pretzels, chex mix, and i set out some fruit too. after i finished this i put out the bin that we would be bobbing apples out of and i filled it with apples and a ton of water. Then I got out a bigger bin and filled about 100 water balloons up and but them in there( I also put some REAL balloons in there too so they wouldnt break as easily). I didnt put on beach music though because its not my favorite so i put on the music on my itouch such as low, elevator,girlfriend, and stuff like that ( like recent music) . i make a playlist on my ipod UNder MY BIRTHDAY MUSIC! and sync it to my ipod and connect it to the speakers so it can play outside. I go to party city to get decorations. I have my best friend come over maybe 2 hours early and help set up decorations and everything else. I have a playroom ( a besement works too) and i put tons of balloons streamers and confetti up. I also put signs and a fashion runway because i asked guests to bring there favorite outfit too. I make a dance floor because we will be doing singles- doubles- and group dancing later that night. I also set up a spa station to do makeovers. My friend and i continue decorating and head outside to blow up some balloons. we tie them everywhere. We blow up beachballs and put them everywhere. I also set up a cooler with drinks like sprite water and pepsi or coke. I decorate the backyard with tons of luau decor and then i finally finish . My mom and i share a birthday so it is really special so the night before we celebrate hers and have her friends come over and they have kids who are rreally close friends to me so we hang out amd that is always fun. Now i make the cake with my mom ! this is always really fun. but i actually do this earlier in the morning. when evryone arrives i hand them all luau necklaces and i take there bags and pu them upstairs i then lead them into the backyard and we wait for everyone to arrive. when everyone gets here i tell them everything we well be doing and we get started!! everyone changes into there bathing suits and some of us put our sophies on just because we might not be swimming quite yet! we all meet in the backyard and have some snacks and then the fun starts! my backyard is pretty big so we hve lots of room to mess around. we start with the LIMBO!!! then we have a waterballoon toss and then a fight but we save some for later. This all might actually not go in planned order because we usually do what suits what everyone wants to do at the time but it all gets done and it is still REALLY fun. we then swim some and play marco polo and sharks and minnos and other crazy games we make up and then we do more water balloons limbo and bobbing for apples while still soaking wet and so we pretty much are getting in and out of the pool constantly. By later around 5 or 6 everyone starts to get hungry and so my dad grills steak or hamburgers or hotdogs like a cookout on our grill outside. There is a chance that we will go back in the pool so we stay in our swimming suits but put sophies on over. we eat!! Yum!! we talk and gossip and then we prob go back in the pool and limbo and so on... By the time it gets dark I lead everyone up to the playroom ( dance/sleeping/ makeover/ fashion show room ) and no one has seen it yet but me, and my bff and my parents. It is decorated amazingly though so everyone wows and it makes it even more fun. and for a cool entrence there is a door curtain ( i prefer a hot pink one if i can get it though) we go up there and change back into our sophies and tanktops and start dancing for a bit for free. then  we pair up with a partner and we go in all different rooms and make up dances. we also do eachothers makeup and hair and then we all present! after a while we just start dancing again and then we do makeovers. Then we do our fashion show! I make certificates in advance for everyone on the computer for participating. we have so much fun doing that and laughing soi hard we cry by making funny poses. we do before and after pictures and just take tons of pics!! o and did i mention the disco ball! after a while we start to get hungry for cake so we go downstairs and we open presents and then eat cake because that is the tradition!! then we go back upstairs and party some more. We play truth or dare and would you rather and gossip . once we get a little tired we have some popcorn and watch a little movie. MORNING- wow that was fun! when we wake up we talkk a little and then go downstairs. we have chocolate chip and plain pancakes for breakfast . everyone then gets there stuff together and then its time for pickup. we all hang out outside until the parents come. pickup is at about 11:00 am . I had a blast and now i have to send out the thank you notes but the guests also need there favors FAVORS_  all guests get cute little notebooks and a cute pen along with a few chocolates and a custom cd of my birthday music playlist. THANK YOUS- for thankyou notes i had fun! ON the mac i made videos of all of us with pics and music and put them on disks and sent them out with thankyou notes. I had a blast!!!
