My 10 year old niece really likes the Suite Life of Zack and Cody, so when she asked me to help plan her 10th
birthday party, I was pretty sure that this TV show would be the theme. She decided to have a Suite Life of Zack and Cody sleepover at the Tipton Hotel the hotel that the show is based around. We made the invitations together. On the front, we put a picture of the Tipton Hotel that we found on the internet. On the inside, we wrote, You are invited to spend the night in London's Suite at the Tipton Hotel to celebrate (Child's Name)s 10th Birthday! Date, Time, Place (Tipton Hotel and then the address), RSVP. Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and pajamas!ť The girls arrived at 6 o'clock. The sleepover was held in the living room. On the floor, I placed a number of large body pillows so the girls could lounge around. I placed some magazines in the center of the pillows. I also put white Christmas lights around the room. On a table to the side of the room, I set up the guest pillows (colored pillows with a matching eye mask that I found at Five Below). Each pillow was labeled with a girls name. As the guests arrived, I told them to find their guest pillow and to enjoy the complimentary magazines in the center of the room. After all of the girls arrived, I told them they could order room service. I presented each of them with a room service menu that I had printed up they could put a check mark next to their choice. On the menu was chicken nuggets, pizza, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, and a turkey sandwich. I wanted to give the feel of a real hotel where they would have a lot of choices for food., but I didn't want to spend a lot of time making food or wasting a lot of food if only one girl chose a specific option. So, I decided to go with anything that I could make somewhat individually and that I could either microwave or put in the oven for a short period of time. The girls placed their order, and I went to work in the kitchen. Meanwhile, the birthday girl's mother helped the girls make a craft: beaded necklaces! After the craft, I served each girl her room serviceť meal. I also served sparkling grape juice in champagne glasses. After room service, we played Name that Tune, with songs that were mostly from the Disney Channel (Suite Life of Zack and Cody theme song, Hannah Montana, High School Musical, as well as other TV theme songs). The winner got to raid London's (the hotel owner's daughter from the show) makeup bag. I found a large cosmetic bag at the dollar store, and filled it with different makeup (nail polish, lip gloss, eye shadow) also from the dollar store. The next game we played was Suite Life of Zack and Codyť trivia. My niece and I made this game together. We came up with about 20 questions with multiple choice answers. Again, the winner got to raid London's makeup bag. Then, I had several easier bonus questions, and the girl who answered the question right would also get to chose from the makeup bag (girls who had already gotten a prize could not answer these questions). After all girls had raided London's makeup bag, we moved onto London's closet. In a corner, I set up some of my clothes and my niece's clothes on a coat rack so the girls could play dress up. I also purchased feather boas at the dollar store. I set up a small table with some jewelry, nail polish, hair brushes, and some hair accessories. I told the girls that they had to get ready for a photo shoot. The birthday girl's mom and I helped the girls get ready. After they were all glammed up, I took them into the dining room, where I had pushed the table to one side. My niece and I had made a banner that said Tipton Hotel that I hung on the wall. Then, I took a picture of each girl individually, and then all of the girls together. After the photo shoot, the girls put on their pajamas. I asked them how their stay was going and they all said great! I told them that I was going to leave them for the night, but if they needed anything during the night that they should call the front desk (I gave them my cell phone number though I was sleeping in the guest bedroom). I also told them that if they got hungry that they should visit Maddie's Stand. I set up the stand in one corner of the room by setting up a table and hanging a sign that said Maddie's Stand. On the table, I set up individual bags of chips, candy bars, sodas, juices, and bottles of water. I had also set up a cup with toothbrushes in the bathroom, and told the girls that they could have a complimentary toothbrush if they had forgotten one. My niece and I had recorded some episodes of the Suite Life on the DVR, so for the rest of the night the girls watched the show and talked before going to bed. In the morning, we did the same room service routine. The choices were pancakes, waffles (using the same batter!), or eggs. I also served the girls orange juice and seltzer in champagne glasses that I had washed from the night before. After breakfast, it was time to go home. As each girl left, she got a complimentary guest bag from the Tipton. I put the Tipton logo on the front of a brown lunch bag. I filled the bag with a diary (that I found at the dollar store), a Tipton note pad (a small note pad that I found in a 6 pack at the dollar store, but covered the front with labels that I printed out from the computer with the Tipton logo), a small travel size Tipton lotion (again, dollar store lotions with the Tipton computer label), a bottle of nail polish and a candy bar. My niece and I made the thank you notes. On the front, they read in green ink with cursive script: Thank you for visiting the Tipton. We hope you enjoyed your stay. Please visit us again soon. My niece then filled out the blank inside with a personalized message. We also included the photo of each girl and of the group in the note.
