Princess slumber party   My Daughter just turned a year old and I wanted to have memories of her first b-day looking like a princess. I just knew with her and all the little girls dressed up as princesses that I was going to capture some adorable moments. The materials I used I found in different stores.  The 99c store had the princess necklaces and plenty of jewelry items. I also bought a pink tablecloth, which I used in the Living Room center table. The center table was a focal point because on top of the table top I decorated with all the amenities a princess will need to get ready for the ball, including make up, mirrors, hair brushes, lipstick, blush, eye shadow, purses, necklaces, gloves and extra tiaras. Some of these items where found in Big lot's. The first girls to arrive loved looking through all the items, while we waited for the rest of the girls to arrive. My dinning table contained the cake and all the snacks for the party. I used a princess tablecloth to decorate the big table. The house was decorated with helium balloons white, pink, purple, and baby blue some with princess pictures. For snacks, I used assorted cookies that I bought in the 99c store, along with chex party mix, apple juice and ice cream. The party started at 7:00 pm and our first game was called "Getting ready for the Princess Ball." We still had sunlight outside, I had previously scattered various items all over the yard just like you would an egg hunt.  Items included: bracelets, jewelry and all that a princess needs to get ready.  It was fun video taping the girls running in their beautiful gowns. I would also tell the girls if they were hot or cold to assist the little ones. The second game was a puzzle pieces search.  I used my sonĘs picture puzzles. I used three of my houserooms and place one puzzle per room. In each room I scattered the puzzle pieces and the girls job was to find them and solve the puzzle. Since I had six guests I had two girls per room. I told them that as soon as they solve it to scream like if they won bingo. After this two games, we took a break and sat around the dinning table and sang happy b-day, cut the cake, took pictures and served the ice cream. Next we moved on to the living room to put on make up. Remember the living room has the center table that had all they needed, all I did is took pictures while they were getting ready. Once they got their make up on we put on some music and took the girls to the back of the house to make an entrance through the hall like a parade, they waved and made funny poses. After the parade, the girls changed into their pajamas and came out to dance to some Latin and Salsa music. These events were a lot of fun they really brought out the girls personalities. After all the commotion it was time to settle down so we fixed their sleeping area and put on some princess videos for them to watch. I did not have popcorn because they were still snacking on the cookies and Chex mix. They watched movies until two in the morning; I was amazed at the girlĘs energy. They woke up the next morning and I served them muffins and milk for breakfast. I put on a movie, while they waited until their parents came to pick them up. I do recommend you have another adult there to help, my husband helped me videotape and I directed the party and took pictures, which I know are going to be adorable! Even thou my baby girl is of a young age, she still boogie to the music, had her cheeks blushed and had plenty of attention from her fellow princesses.
