GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN!! SLEEPOVER...This was the them for my daughter's 10th birthday party. It was her best sleepover yet and here are the details: INVITATIONS: We burned the song
"girls just want to have fun" on a CD and placed it in a case. On the front cover I scanned a photo of my daughter with the theme on it and on the inside of the case was all the
information for the party ACTIVITIES: Glow stick limbo, We gave each of the girls glow stick "necklaces" to wear (purchased from dollar store) and then we attached the extra
necklaces to a broom handle, turned off the lights and played limbo. We purchased American Girl grin pins (small buttons with cool pictures/positive sayings)I stuffed the pins in balloons
& blew them up (1 pin per balloon). We had 10 balloon per child and they had to break the balloons to get the pins. They could use any body part to break them except their feet. This was
hilarious to watch! Then they spent time trading pins with each other. Also had a treasure hunt that they followed clues throughout the house and yard and ended up in a sandy area where they
dug up a plastic box filled with their goodie bags. Lastly we put on a dance video that they danced to and later movies. FOOD: Made their own personal sized pizzas for dinner, popcorn for
movies, made their own ice cream sundes, and pancake breakfast. DECORATIONS: Our colors were purple, lime, hot pink. Made doorway curtains out of hot pink string with CD's that were glued
together(paper side) on the string about every 10" from the top to the bottom. (used old CD's & from junkmail) Also used the CD's for coasters for their drinks (silver side up). The
main table had lava lamps down the middle. We cut a hole in the tablecloth and fed the lamp cord thru it,taped it to the table under the cloth so the cord didn't show.SURPRISE:I videoed the
usual during the party but when they fell asleep I video them snoring & all. Then I surprised them the next morning when we watched it during breakfast! They laughed so hard!!CRAFT:I used
glass ketchup bottles & filled them with bubble bath and topped with a cork. The girls decorated the outsided with gems, trims, beads, etc. Then added a cool label with their name on it
that I made for them on the computer. (bubble bath from dollar store, corks & decorations from craft store).
