Super Star Sleepover Party 12-14yr

Honorable Mention

September 2008

Kailey in Austin, Texas USA

As you or your daughter is getting older, it might be time to consider a more girly party. This party is good for about five girls, aged 12-14. IVITATIONS: For invitations, buy pink cards and envelopes to decorate. On the front of the envelope, put a professional looking label with your guests name. On the front of the card, put a sticker that says, Superstar Sleepover!" in the center. Put lots of silver rhinestones around the sticker. On the inside of the card write; "As an honorary Superstar you have been invited to ________'s super birthday party!" Place: (Your name here)'s house Time: RSVP: Decorate the inside with fashionable stickers and more rhinestones. DECORATIONS: The theme colors are pink and silver. Pick a designated party room. Without using helium blow up pink and silver balloons and pink streamers and hang them from the ceiling. ACTIVITIES: When the girls start arriving bring them to the party room where they can start the activity. Ask all the girls their shoe size before the party and get pink flip flops in everyone's size. Buy feathers and rhinestones for the girls to decorate their shoes with. You can also buy picture frames for the girls to decorate using stickers and rhinestones. When everyone is done with their crafts take them to the 'salon.' The salon can be a bedroom with magazines and decorations. Have stations where you can do each others makeup hair and nails while you wait for dinner to be ready. When everyone is done in the salon take individual pictures of each of the girls to go in their frames. Make sure the salon will be easy to clean up because you will have to use this room later. (I would suggest the nail polish in a bathroom.) FOOD: Dinner should be simple. Serve pizza or hotdogs with punch and fruit kabobs. Girls should leave room for popcorn later. Serve on silver or pink tableware.  GAMES: Go to the party room to play musical presents. Everyone sits in a circle with their present. One person (An adult) will start the music. Everyone passes their present around the circle. When the adult stops the music whatever present the birthday girl has in her hands she opens. This goes on until all presents are opened. WHO AM I? : The first girl gets a label placed on her back with the name of a famous superstar example; Tyra Banks. This girl doesn't know that Tyra Banks is the name on the label but everyone else does. Everyone has to give the girl clues as to who the person is without saying the name. Example; "She has her own T.V. show America's Next Top Model." The girl guesses who the superstar is until she gets it right. Keep playing until everyone has had a chance to play. MOVIE: After the games set up popcorn and candy on a table near the back of the room. Pass out game money and tickets so that the girls can 'buy' their refreshments and get into the theater. Vote on a movie and have everyone leave the room. When they come back have them give you their tickets and buy their snacks. Dim the lights and watch the movie. After the movie is done set up a stage and camera while all the girls change into their pajamas. The stage can be very simple a blanket laid out on the ground with chairs all around it. Have one girl at a time cat walk down the blanket while the camera records and the rest of the girls watch. When they come to the end of the blanket have them do a pose. Take a picture of the pose to go in each of their frames. Then you can watch the video and pass out prizes for the best walk the funniest pose etc. SPA:  Once you are done with the games go renovate the salon while the girls talk. Set up a table or chair with two different kinds of facial/mask for the girls to choose from. You can make this mask at home using a recipe you find online. You can also set up a bucket with warm water and bubbles for the girls to put their feet in while you put on the facial. Then call the girls in. One at a time have the girls choose their facial and put it on for them and have them put their feet in the water. You can put back their hair and put cucumber slices on their eyes too. After this give them a time for lights out and they can talk and entertain themselves till then. IN THE MORNING: Everyone will probably get up around 9:00-10:00. Make sure you have breakfast ready for them! BREAKFAST: Make breakfast simple. You can do chocolate chip pancakes with a berry smoothie or a fruit parfait with a chocolate muffin. When parents start arriving send the girls off with their flip flops and have you or your daughter bring them the frames with the pictures and thank you cards when school starts or send them in the mail. THANK YOU CARDS: Thank you cards will be the exact same as the invitations but instead of saying Superstar Sleepover the sticker will say Thanks! This party will probably cost around $100. Decorations: $15 Crafts: $30 Food: $45 Cards: $10 "
