FRIENDS FOREVER BIRTHDAY PARTY!  For my daughter's 7th birthday she decided to invite 5 girls for a slumber party. The girls arrived in the early afternoon. They started out by unpacking and setting up their sleeping bags then instantly began a pillow fight.  After settling down we set up 3 craft stations, 2 girls at each spot and after half an hour they rotated.  At one table the girls were given a colorful pillow case and fabric paints. They wrote "friends forever slumber party" and drew flowers and other designs to decorate it, then each girl would sign their name on the pillow as they visited that craft station.  At another table each girl was given a framed cork board that I purchased at a dollar store approx. 12 x 14.  The girls wrote "friends forever" along the wooden frame in bright tube paint then used foam cutouts of animals to decorate the rest of the wooden frame. At the 3rd table the girls made friendship pins with safety pins and tiny beads and friendship bracelets with plastic twine and larger beads.   After and hour and a half of crafts the girls then put on their swim suits and cooled off in the back yard under the crazy daisy.  While they fooled around I cleaned up the mess and phoned the local pizza parlor and ordered pizza.  After the girls changed into their pj's I loaded them into the van and took them to the restaurant to eat.  The girls had a ball.  Everyone laughed and commented on how cute they looked sitting up at the counter having their pizza.  They even put a couple of quarters in the juke box and sang some of their favorite songs.   Following dinner I took them to a wooded park just behind our house.  It was a beautiful summer evening with a great sunset over the lake.  The girls ran around the park and played tag and hide and go seek.  I took the opportunity to snap some really great photos of the girls around a huge maple tree.   We then went back to our place for cake and ice cream we made the girls slumber party cake that we got from this web site. It's made from Twinkies and marshmallows for the faces. It was a real hit. My daughter then unwrapped her presents and gave out her party favors which were little notebooks with "Friends Forever"  written on them and fancy little pens.  I also put out some glow in the dark nail polish and body glitter etc.  The girls watched a Mary Kate and Ashley slumber party video and played for a few hours.  Just before bed we lite our outdoor chiminia which is like a fire pit and the girls roasted marshmallows under the stars.   They girls were pooped at the end of the night and actually slept really well.  After breakfast the next day they played the toilet paper mummy game and danced on the front lawn until the parents came.    The girls hated to leave and my daughter says they still talk about her awesome birthday party.  I believe they will be friends Forever!!!
