My daughter turned seven this year, so our theme was "Seventh Heaven." I used cloud paper and cut out gold letters for a sign on the front door that read, "WELCOME TO SEVENTH HEAVEN."  Inside our entryway, we hung "clouds" from the ceiling (made from inexpensive tulle) and glow in the dark stars.  They were hung with fishing wire. Instead of party hats, each girl was given a "halo" made out of gold star garland and long pieces of gold curly ribbon.  This was also a sleepover party, so light blue pillowcases were decorated with sponge-painted clouds, the guest's name and "SEVENTH HEAVEN SLEEPOVER" along with the date.  I took a picture of my daughter with each guest, as they arrived, to use on each thank you note.  We had a fashion show relay race, where each team and to run to their pile of dress-up clothes and get dressed as fast as possible.  They were then instructed to "Strike a Pose" - something as silly as possible, while I took a picture.  They then undressed themselves from the dress-up clothes and the next person in line took their turn. I ran the film to the 1-hour photo and while the pictures were being processed each guest decorated their own picture frame (made from heavy poster board) with markers and star stickers. I also put magnets on the backs of the frames so they could hang them up at home.  This was one of their favors. The favor bags were light blue paper bags with handles.  I again cut out gold letters and put the name of each guest on their bag. I cut out white clouds to go around their name and used silver stars as well.  Inside was a lipgloss, a bath sponge and a chocolate treat. I took the wrappers off of Kit Kat bars and replaced them with my own that said, "Seventh Heaven Sleepover" Happy Birthday (Child's name) and the date.  They also took home their frame, pillowcase and halo.  The birthday cake was done a local bakery - it had 3 angels on it with stars surrounding them and at the top said "Seventh Heaven" and at the bottom said "Happy Birthday (Child's Name)" I think everyone had a really great time!
