For my 12th birthday, I had a sleep over party.  I invited twelve of my girlfriends and they came at five o'clock. First, since not everyone knew each other, we played a 'getting to know you' game. Everyone picks a partner that they don't know very well and fills out a questionnaire about their partner. Then everyone reads theirs out loud, and they get a point for each one they get right. Then you switch partners and play again. The person with the highest score at the end of the game wins. Second, we went outside and played 'Murderer.' For anyone who doesn't know how to play, you get a grown-up to pick one person to be the murderer, and the rest are people. They don't tell who is the murderer. Then, the people scatter. The murderer has to secretly try to 'kill' someone by patting them on the back. The victim has to wait a few seconds, then scream and 'die.' The other players all get one guess as to who the murderer was. The person who got the most votes has to confess if they are guilty, or tell that they are innocent if it's true. If the people are right, the murderer loses. But if they're wrong, they play another round until the guilty person is chosen. Then we had a barbecue, and we barbecued hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken. After dinner, we had cake and ice cream and opened the presents. Then everyone changed into their pajamas and put on make-up and did their hair to become all glamorous, then we put on music and had a pajama fashion show. We gave out awards, like most stunning, funniest, etc. Then, we put on a CD that I asked everyone to bring and got into groups of three and made up dances. The group with the best dance got a prize. But the hit of the night was when we all picked a song and made our own homemade music videos. They were all funny, and pretty good too! Then we played 'piggies in a blanket.' That is a good game for sleep over parties. How you play is: One person, who is the 'farmer' goes out of the room. Then, all the rest of the people hide in their sleeping bags, or other people's. When everyone is ready, the farmer comes back in, and sits on someone. They say, "Piggy piggy!" and the person has to disguise their voice and say 'oink oink!' The farmer has to guess who they have  caught. If they guess correctly, they come out of the sleeping bag and they are the farmer. If they're wrong, they are silent and the farmer tries again with someone else until they figure it out. Then we played truth or dare for a long long time until about 2 am, then we talked 'til 4:30 and drifted off to sleep. When we woke up, we had bagels/ cereal/ oatmeal/ eggs/ ice-cream/ etc for breakfast. Then we got dressed and went outside. We made teams and played baseball and soccer for a long time until lunch. We went to Ruby Tuesday's for lunch, since we couldn't get dinner reservations and at the mall, we all got ten dollars to spend on what ever we wanted. My parents let us just go on our own. When it was about 3:00, we all met at the Gap and drove all of my guests home. It was a good party!
