For my daughter's 6th birthday, I gave her a "Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs" birthday party. The invitations said that the party was at the 7 dwarfs cottage and was being hosted
by Snow White.
We invited 6 of her friends so there were 7 dwarfs in all. I made felt dwarf hats for them and I dressed up like Snow White. When the girls arrived, I had apple slices and different kinds of dip for them to try. We dipped the apples in caramel, chocolate, strawberry cream cheese, peanut butter, honey and marshmallow creme instead of poison like the witch did in the story. Next we read the story, then the girls marched around the house to "Hi-ho, Hi-ho, it is of to work we go!" Then I gave them each a container of beads, hidden in the container was a large fake diamond bead. They mined through their beads to find their diamond, then they strung the beads to make necklaces. We gathered them around the table for cake and ice cream. While I dished up the food, my son who is 9 entertained the girls by pretending to be the different dwarfs - Doc, Sleepy, Bashful, Happy, Dopey, Sneezy and Grumpy. The girls had fun guessing which dwarf he was pretending to be. I made the cake look like the dwarfs cottage. Then she opened her gifts, and the party ended. The girls got to take home their hats and necklaces.
