Tropical luau spa party  For this party for the invitations we found some invitations at the dollar store, they were hawaii themed, there were flip flops, tiki statues, and hawaiian shirts. I sent them to my guests. We had it in our backyard. we had balloons, luau styled lanters, and tables with pretty table cloths. WHen they arrived we greated them by saying Aloha, we place a necklace over them, and handed them a flower bobby pin, what we did was found a bouquet of fake flowers at Joanne Fabrics, we cut off of the stem two or three, we found some bobby pins at the store. Then we stuck them together and the girls put them in there hair. I found some Hawaiian names for each of the guests names and made name tags of there hawaiian names. Next we played hot coconut instead of hot potato. Afterwards we played shell in the sand, its a game we made up, like bobbing for apples, only you give each guest 15 seconds to find a certain shell in a box of sand, you should mark the special shell.Afterwards we had water balloons, we had water tosses, next we went inside to start our spa, we had a manicure and pedicure section in our home, where for the pedicures each guest stuck there feet in a bucket of cool water, they each got a rag to wash there feet, and clean there feet. Next they put there feet into a foot massager that we already owned. It was warm and massaged your feet. After our older friends did there manicures and pedicures, they went on to there hair, then makeup, then we had a little back massager they could just play with. Afterwards we played tacky tourist where you have a relay race and dress up in tacky outfits like sun glasses hats, hawaiian shirts, and then your whole team has to put on each outfit, until they win. Then we ate dinner, we had chicken, cabobs, veggies and fruit, and for desert ice cream and we made a hawaiian beach cake. it would be very expensive to buy each guest a hula skirt, so we looked for ways to make them, we bought different colored lanyard, like green, and red. We bought elastic at the craft store. Then we tied the lanyard to the elastic until we had a full hula skirt. Then we played another game where each guest had to look for props to use and dress up and then makeup there own hula dances, the best one got a prize for it. We also made pinata beach balls, with a balloon and we paper mashaed them and then popped the balloon and colored the pinata. we knew a place to rent video cameras so we filmed the whole thing.
