For my daughter's 8th birthday, she wanted to have a spa theme.  I said okay and we made invitations that my daughter loved. They were soft blue and pink striped with a drawing of a girl in a bathrobe on the front. On the inside, we wrote, You're invited to a day at the spa at the Glitter and Glam Spa and Salon.  Please wear pajamas and bring your own brush. Please also bring a favorite CD to play throughout the party.  The Spa is at (information about where the party will be).  Please arrive at around 2:30 and come to pick at 4:30 to watch the girl's fashion show.  My daughter invited 7 friends so there were 8 girls and the bgirl's older sister who would be doing spa activities with the girls.  For decorations we put a lot of soft pink and blue candles around the house along with balloons.  Near the front door there was a sign in desk where the girl's would sign in and pick 3 of the activities they wanted to do.  Choices were blueberry facial vanilla facial chair massage pedicure manicure hair and light makeup application. We found lotions to apply for the facials that smelled like blueberry and vanilla. When the girl's arrived they sat in chairs and read magazines in the "waiting room". There were also preztels and chocolate covered strawberries to snack on.  Girl's were called 3 at a time based on what they picked into the "Spa Zone".  For the facials they washed their faces and applied a mask.  Then they washed it off gave their faces a light massage and applied lotion.  For the chair massage girl's sat in my old massage chair and got a foot massage while sitting.  Girl's got massaged and painted nails for the manis and pedis for hair they curled and used asssorted accessories.  For makeup they got lipstick blush and eyeshadow. After all the girls went they had cheesecake and chocolate cake with punch. Then the bgirl opened presents.  By then the parents arrived so we had a fashion show and took pictures to send home. They all had a lot of fun!  "
