I planned the most lavish birthday party for my daughter's 10th birthday. We had a SPA-tacular Birthday Bash. It began with the invitations which were small white terry cloth tea towels rolled
and tied with a pink ribbon. Inside the rolled towel were the following words: "This is to confirm your upcoming appointment at the SPA-tacular Birthday Salon on such a such date and
time, bring your bathrobes. Please call to confirm your appointment", which was all typed real pretty on vellum. We hand delivered these. The basement was decorated with candles, candles
and more candles, flower petals were tossed all around on the floor and pink and purple streamers separated the stations. I had drecorated a large bulliten board for all the quests to sign
and leave little endearments to the birthday girl. On another board I had an appointment schedule with all of the spa stations and who had the appointment and when. We had a nail station with
polish, a parrifin wax dip, hand massage and manicure. There was a pedicure station with foot soaks, foot and leg messages, pedicure and polish, the facial station with clay masks and
cucumber slices, the waiting room filled with oversized comfy fur pillows, bean bags and teen magazines and last but certainly not least the "Cafe" stocked with sparkling cider in
champagne glasses, fresh fruit and other yummy snacks. We had spa/relaxation music playing and all the girls were relaxing in their bathrobes. I had other helpers to help me with the stations
and we made sure we had all the ammenities you would find at a true spa. I made two small cakes, the first was a chocolate one which was a bottle of nail polish I made from an 8x8 square pan
and a loaf pan on top iced in hot pink and trimmed with black and the words "nail polish" written on it. The other cake a white cake was a face getting a cucumber mask. I used a
round pan and iced it in a flesh tone leaving the center uniced, I then iced the center in a green tinted icing and laid two cucumber slices for eyes, used some black for eyebrows and bought
some candy lips and added them. Last I took a small white hand towel and somewhat folded it loosly on the top to resemble a head wrapped in a towel. The cakes were a HUGE hit and so easy to
do. The girls each made homemade glitter gel and lip gloss (recipes found on the internet) and decorated flip flops they also took home goody bags filled with bubble bath and bath salts,
fizzing bath balls, candy, compacts, nail polish, eye masks and a CD of the relaxtion music. The girls truly felt pampered and as if they were in a real spa, it was a hit to say the least.
