SPA MAKEOVER PARTY 7 yr old girl
I ordered invitations from vistaprint.com with a makeup theme on the front. I got 30 invites for 12 bucks and they looked very professional and I didnt have to waste time filling them all out. The party was held at a local civic center in a private room. As the girls entered they proceeded to the appt desk. Their "before" pictures were taken with a webcam and the "receptionist" handed them their Birthday Bucks. The birthday bucks were made on the computer and featured a picture of Brieana in the middle. Each buck listed the activity that they had to "pay" for. The girls also recieved a fashion purse that was purchased in bulk at a wholesale store, to keep their bucks in. The activities that the girls participated were a blast. They roamed around the room and chose their own activity. I had older teens and parents working at each station. I printed signs on the computer and attached them to file folders to label each table. Music was placed on a karaoke machine. 1.Manicures- girls got to chose a nail color and their nails were filed w/ emery boards. They also recieved nail decals that were purchased at the dollar store and they placed their used emeryboard into their purse. 2. Pedicure- girls sat at a row of pedicure tubs. They had their feet scrubbed with walnut foot scrub, mint lotion was applied afterward, and their toes were polish . 3. Bracelet- girls strung beads on a string to create a bracelet. Beads were purchased at a craft store (500 beads for 3.99) 4. Massage- girls laid down on a cot that was covered with a blanket. Under the blanket there was a massage mat (like the one that can be plugged in and used in cars) 5. Facials- girls sat in a chair with their feet on a massaging foot device and had cucmbers placed on their eyes. 6. Makeup- Eyeshadow, body glitter, and lipstick was appiled. Girls got to keep their lipstick tube and eyeshadow applicator. The girls then went and got dressed up in various "fashion" outfits. I had an archway set up and rolled out the red carpet (red butcher paper). We turned down the lights and turned on the strobe light. The girls then proceeded indivudally down the catwalk modeling their new look and attire. We used the karaoke mic to tell what the models were wearing . I took "after" pictures with the webcam and placed both of the pictues in some diecut frames. The kids ate pizza and cake. They left with a purse full of makeup and other goodies. This party was very inexpensive. Most of the items were already owned or borrowed.
