For my daughter's 5th birthday, we had a "Princess Spa Tea Party".
I made the invitations very simple, but precious. They simply stated..."Please come to my Princess Spa Tea Party...to celebrate ___________'s birthday. We'll do pedicures, manicures, makeup, hair and have a tea party...then listed when, where, time, etc. THE PARTY When my daughter's guests arrived, they were greeted by my daughter, then sent to one of 4 stations - 1)pedicure, 2)manicure, 3)makeup, 4)hair. (My Mom, Sisters, Niece and myself manned the stations.) After they'd all rotated through every station, we took their picture while they wore the "birthday crown". Then, we made picture frames (while my niece downloaded the pictures and printed them out.). I bought inexpensive acrylic frames and we let the girls decorate them with plastic jewels and flowers. Then, we wrote "Princess ________ (their name)" on each with puffy paint. After they were done with their frames, we had a tea party in the garden outside. The food consisted of finger sandwiches (peanut butter and jelly), fruit, vegetables, pink party punch and cupcakes. (We had bigger portions, plus queso and chips for the parents that stayed.) After they finished their tea party, we went back inside and my daughter opened her gifts, then gave each of her guests their goodie bag. The goody bag was a small brown lunch sack with a pink fuzzy fabric for the handle that we had previously decorated filled with lip gloss, glitter, nail polish and candy. The kids had a blast! My other daughter will turn 7 in the Fall and she asked for the same party!
