We chose to do a spa themed party/sleepover for my ten yr olds birthday.She was allowed five friends,nobody knew what was planned, even my daughter did not know.After the arrivals i had my friend who sells spa items and took cosmetology come over. She talked to the girls about skin care, we did facials, masks, cucumber eyes and foot soaks, she used a special massager on their heads, and finished with hair and nails.We then suprised the girls by taking them to a nice sit down restuarant for dinner.After dinner we made special slippers(bought at Dollar General for only $2 a pair)They hot glued fur, large beads and flowers to them.Had munchies for late night snack while we told scary stories about the "bad hair fairy"(my sister ratted her hair, had funny makeup and wore mismatched clothes, and came over for me to sneak downstairs and scare the girls!!It worked!!)In the morning i made a breakfast buffet for them and we had a slipper contest(everyone won something)ate cupcakes with lipglosses on top and before the girls left i had each one of them make a scrapbook page of what they liked best about the party in which i made into a book for my daughtr to keep.For treat bags i got makeup kits for half price, since my daughters birthday is after Christmas to hand out and may i suggest one of the nicest take home gifts is always a couple of pictures for each girl of the party night.One Hour photo is a great thing!!or else send them out in your thank you notes..this is my daughters fifth sleepover year an we've been doing that from the beginning- the girls parents love it for their own scrapbooks at home!!!!!
