I conduct In- Home Spas for women and my daughter has been fascinated with the Spas and told me that she wanted one for her birthday.  I wanted it to be fun for them, so after much thought, I gave my daughter a Spa Party for her 8th birthday.  I invited 12 girls. I went to Dollar Tree and purchased bath sponges (4 for $1.00) I put the sponges in a small cellophane gift bag and tied it off with curling ribbon. I printed the party information on a label and stuck the label to the back of the bag. It said "A Day of Pampering for Jasmyn's Birthday" It then instructed the girl's to meet at our home at Noon.  At my home I had a Coloring Sheets that I made with my daughters name and a picture of ladies at a Day Spa for them to color, to give everyone time to get there. I gave a tube of lipgloss to all of the girls who finished the picture. I arranged for a Limo to pick the girls up at the house at 12:30pm.  The Limo picked the girls up and took them to a Banquet hall that I had rented for the party.  The parents followed behind in their cars. I rode up front with the Limo driver.  The girls loved the Limo ride (pick-up & drop off rate).  I had fixed up the Banquet hall that morning. I had a craft area where the girls decorated jewelry boxes (Dollar Tree) and made Toe Rings from Pipe Cleaners (cut up) and beads. I purchased 12 matching bath robes & Slippers (On Sale for $5.00 each). I had a Bath Robe and  Slippers for each of the girls. I had an area the had assorted finger nail polish and Nail Dryers. There the girl's painted their finger nails. They also signed and decorated a white pillowcase for my daughter to have as a keepsake.  While the pillowcase and the jewelry cases dried, I told the girls it was time to change into their robes & slippers. (They just put the robes on over their clothes). I had them all a chair to sit in and a vibrating pillow in each chair. The girls were giggling because the pillows are pressure activated. I then went around and gave each of them a back massage with massage tools.  I warmed 12 Herbal Neckwraps in the microwave and placed them on the girls neck. The girls loved the smell of the heated herbs.  Then I filled up 12 foot tubs (Dish tubs from family Dollar) and put warm water and Dead Sea Salt minerals in them. Each girl soaked her feet. I dimmed the lights and lighted several candles and put on relaxation music. I had cut up cucumbers and chilled them and placed them over the girls eyes.  I them went around and gave each girl a hand massage, while my sister gave each girl a foot massage.  By this time the moms were drooling.  3 of the girls went to sleep.  We woke them up and let them put on their toe rings, that they made. One little girl asked me if she could eeat her eye pads. I told her that I had some more on the food table. We then served the food. We wanted to keep it light, since they were at a Day Spa.  We served pinwheel finger sandwiches, veggies and dip, Lemonade and the cake was a sheet cake with a small oval cake on top with a doll head stuck inside with the Blue gel icing in the center and piped white icing around the top and iced white on the sides, to make it look like a girl in a whirlpool. For goodie bags, each girl got to take home the crafts that they made, The Spa coloring sheets, Bottle water that I had taken the label off of and replaced the label with labels that read " A Day of Pampering fro Jasmyn's Birthday" with girly stickers around it, and a cosmetic bag that included a bath sponge, comb, mirror, brush and candle (Dollar Tree).  The girls were all excited as they took off their robes and put their shoes back on.  I then did face painting. I used Snazzaroo face paint and gave all of the girls eyeshadow, longer eyelashes, a beauty mark on her cheek, and lipstick. This was their makeover. They all told me what a wonderful time they had.  The moms told me how jealous they were. So I gave all of them a coupon for an in-Home Spa. It was a lot of work, but the girls enjoyed it and so did the parents. I kept the robes. One of the girls asked me if I could do her birthday party.  I think my daughter stumbled up on a great idea.
