For My daughters 11th Birthday, we had a State of the art home spa party. It turned out to be very inexpensive, but very tasteful. For the invitations, we created a replica of a
spa brochure but changed it to THEDEY SPA, (DEY is my daughters nickname) and detailed every thing the girls were going to be doing. Manicures, Pedicures, Facials, Make-up application and
Massages. THe girls had to bring their robes, slipper and something for dinner later. We redecorated each room to give it a feel of a room at a spa.
The living room we made the RED LOUNGE (waiting area). We bought red pillow, curtains, rug and red decor items even bought red beta fish in a bowl w/ red rocks to give it a upscale funky feeling, and the final touches were red balloons. The bathroom we made the wardrobe/facial room. (make sure the girls have another bathroom in the house for personal use)Everything was white. We bought new white rugs, terrycloth shower curtain, and clear glass and silver decor again for real cool feeling. The main room was the pink room, Again hot pink rugs and pink throw pillows, funky pink wall hangings, and we bought white sheer curtian to seperate each section of thier playroom for each station. We made each station feel like their were at a manicurist, pedicurist and massage station. For the massages, the girls all whore shortset/bathing suit. My sister laid them down on a yoga mat, and we bought the massage items at Linen's & Things. rubbed their back, legs and feet. Once they were done, they went to our friend who gave them pedicures. Two at a time, then once that was completed they got their nails done, and then finally facials, and they all got a kick out of the clay mask. Once the mask was applied they laid down in my daughters room, we named the relaxation room. Were we had nature sounds playing in the room, put the eye mask on and they laid down for about 10 mins. (Make sure you buy the scented plug-ins, for each room to give off a nice clean fresh feeling or a sweet smell) After each girl finished their spa treatments, they changed for dinner, had make-up applications and in the dinning room they were met w/ five star treament. They ate dinner on the good china, and wine glasses. Most of the adults that helped were the girls waiters. We printed up Menues for the girls as if they were at a real resturant, and they chose what they wanted for dinner. IT was so awesome. And for the finally the cake and goodie bags. I had the cake decorated like a girl at a spa in a bathtub full of lemons and nail polish and lipsticks etc... surrounded the girl and in the goody bags I had nail files, nail polish, glitter puffs, lotion, little tissue packs, lip gloss and candy of course. all things the girls can keep in their bags. That day was so filling 1-7pm that we didn't even have time for the games we had planned. Movie Charades, and pin the cucumber on the masked face. So i just gave the girls the gifts. Even w/ all the decorating the party was still less expensive than if I had taken them to the skating ring or local party place. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN.
